History of an avid reader!

With as much reading as I do, you would think that I have read a blog or two before to know how this is done....truth be told...I haven't.  Sure I've heard about it, but taken the time to actually read one?  Not so much.  Give me a paperback book anytime!  Granted, I do have to admit, I love my new E-reader.  I don't have to sneak under the covers at night with a flash light to get the late night reading fix.  When I am on lunch break at work, out comes my book (or E-reader), waiting for an appointment, out comes my book, waiting for my daughter to dance at dance comp....you guessed it...out comes my book.  If I could read and drive at the same time, I would do it.  I  can not wait for cars to drive themselves so I can kick back and read a book.  My biggest fear is that as I get older, my eyes are going to get worse.  I already struggle sometimes with my sight when reading....when I wear my glasses (after taking out my contacts) I have found out that my nose is not long enough to hold my glasses...I actually have to either hold up my glasses or stuff tissue under the nose piece to hold it up for me to see.  At least if I come to a really sad part that makes me cry, I have a tissue handy! :)

I get so wrapped up in my books, the walls of my house could fall down around me, I wouldn't notice a thing!  Give me a paranormal romance any day!  Vampires ..... Love it!!   Werewolves....Give me more!!!  Angels and Demons... Bring it on!!  I also love me some Comedy romance....Love Love Love Janet Evanovich.  Stephanie Plum rocks!

I have been reading books for fun since I was about 10 and you'll never guess what kind....okay maybe you will....ROMANCE.  Yep at 10 years old, I'm reading romance novels. (Boy did I learn a lot! )  I would borrow them from my best friends mom.  There was of course the occasional Sweet Valley High book or , Hello God, It's Me Margaret book, but if had a choice between Romance or something else....it would be romance.   I can remember sitting in class with my textbook in front of me and hidden inside my textbook was my romance novel.  I was like a boy with a hidden comic book or playboy magazine.

My favorite day of the week was Saturday...not because we didn't have school (although that helped) but because it was YARD SALE DAY!   I would save up my lunch money (or if mom had me run to the store I would forget to give her change back)  when we went to yard sales, I was looking for used books!  I would buy them by the sack full.  I also couldn't wait for the first Saturday of the month.  When we went to Wal-mart I would run to the book section.  If they didn't have the 4 new Harlequin Temptation books, I would want to cry and beg to go to another store to see if they had them.  Gosh forbid if they only had 3 of the four books.  I always thought, "What idiot doesn't want all four books of the series.  Don't just buy 1 of the 4...you buy all or none!!"

Well, I have wasted enough time for today...I hear my book calling.... I found this great Author on my E-reader the other day and am about to finish the last book.  Check out,  Nicky Charles...what was even better.....it was  from Barnes and Noble under the free downloads.  They were so good...I would have paid money for them!!!  Felicity Heaton is another great read!  I can not wait to go back and re-read all of her books.  She is a fantastic Author!!  Check her out @ http://www.indieparanormalromancebooks.com/

Happy Reading!!!
